Creed Vetiver: The Best Cologne On Earth?
I recently had a, shall we say, heated discussion about the best cologne on earth and why in the world anyone would spend $140 an ounce on cologne. Call me crazy. Maybe I was brainwashed when I met Olivier Creed (the head of the company,) by his sexy accent and haughty French attitude, and the fact that he is a sixth generation master-perfumer.
A Fragrance Dynasty?
Maybe I’m subconsciously trying to recreate the moment I walked into my first job at Neiman Marcus in Las Vegas and was surrounding by dapperly dressed salesmen who looked like models. Maybe it’s because they just sound so fancy “founded in 1760 and passed from father to son since then, Creed is the only dynastic, privately held luxury fragrance company in the world.” Or…maybe it just smells so darn amazing that I love it and think it’s worth the ridiculously high price tag! Ok? Geez.
How The Magic Happens
Anyway, in case you were wondering about the heavenly ingredients in CREED Vetiver they include: Haitian vetiver, ginger, coriander, white pepper, mandarin, Italian bergamot, and sandalwood from India. In case you haven’t smelled it, go forth and conquer. Then, let me know if you think it’s worth $240 a bottle. I won’t hold it against you if you call me crazy, but beware, you may just agree with me and then, there’s no going back.
