If you’re dealing with adrenal fatigue, you know that the road isn’t always easy. You may be a type A personality (ok, let’s face it, there’s no maybe about it.) It might be hard for you to learn to slow down and show yourself enough grace to allow yourself to heal. So how do you even know if you have adrenal fatigue?
Symptoms Of Adrenal Fatigue
If you think you might have adrenal fatigue, but you aren’t sure, here are just a few of the signs and symptoms that you may have noticed:
- weight gain
- brain fog
- autoimmune issues
- cravings sweet or salty foods
- hormone imbalances
These can be caused by several different factors which may result in adrenal fatigue, such as:
- prolonged stress
- emotional trauma – such as the death of the loved one, divorce, or surgery
- lack of sleep
- poor diet
- reliance on caffeine
The Healing Process
The good news is, you can bounce back from adrenal fatigue. I know when I was healing from my own autoimmune issues, I went through so many emotions in addition to the physical changes that I was going through. I had to learn to heal my adrenal fatigue in the process and it was so hard for me to learn how to slow down. But I did it, and I know you can too!
I had over-exercised for years, started multiple businesses, and generally overexerted myself into total exhaustion. Sound familiar?
While there were many changes that I had to make, using essential oils during my healing process was an easy one! That’s why I wanted to share my go-to recipe with you today!
DIY Essential Oils Blend For Healing Adrenal Fatigue
I’m sharing with you one of my favorite essential oil recipes that you can use for healing support as you are recovering from adrenal fatigue.
-3 drops basil essential oil
-3 drops rosemary essential oil
-2 drops clove essential oil
–organic fractionated coconut oil
Combine the above essential oils into an empty glass rollerball. (These adorable rainbow rollerballs are my favorite.) Fill the rollerball up the rest of the way with organic fractionated coconut oil.
Apply this formula once or twice per day directly over your adrenal glands to support their healing. Your adrenal glands are located on your mid-back, over the kidneys. Super easy, right? It seems so insignificant, but trust me, it makes a big difference!
Hot tip: Don’t underestimate the potency and efficacy of essential oils. Start out small and gradually increase the frequency of application. This may be hard for type A personalities (I know from experience.) But, you can do it! Consider your superhuman use of restraint part of your healing process. You’ll thank me later.
