If there was one thing that you could do to help you get rid of cellulite, increase circulation, and naturally detoxify your body, would you do it? I know I would! Sign. Me Up. In fact, dry brushing has been a part of my weekly routine ever since I started my autoimmune recovery journey a few years ago.
Benefits of Dry Brushing
Dry brushing increases circulation, reduces cellulite, removes toxins, and sloughs away dead skin cells. The simple process of dry brushing a few times per week can make a huge difference in both the appearance and the function of the skin, helping it to stay clear, bright and radiant.
How to Dry Brush
Dry brushing is super simple and super fast! Just start with your feet and make gentle, sweeping, upward movements all over your body with the brush, gradually making your way towards your heart.
Being gentle is key here. You just want to get the lymph moving which doesn’t take much pressure at all. The lymph is the body’s system for carrying any toxins away naturally and effectively. It should be relaxing and you shouldn’t feel like the brush is scratching your skin in any way.
It’s best to do it for just a minute or two before your shower. That way you can rinse off any of those dead skin cells that may still be sitting on top of your skin.
For even more detoxification, you could even follow it up with an Epsom salt bath. Either way, your body oil or anything that you apply afterward is going to sink quickly into your (newly) super smooth skin!
Here is the dry brush that I use at home a few times each week! Let me know if you try it and how it goes! It has really been a super easy, but effective part of my holistic living routine.
