Eyebrows can change your life. Is that a little dramatic?  Probably, but I don’t think it’s an exaggeration.  We’ve all seen bad eyebrows. A lot of us have even tried to have a conversation with someone while being distracted by whatever weird phenomenon is happening with their eyebrows. Don’t let this happen to you. If you suspect that you might be suffering from an eyebrow shaping issue or even if you think your brows are okay but they could be better, I would like to point you in the direction of Anastasia Beverly Hills. 

If It’s Good Enough For Oprah, It’s Good Enough For Me

As the arch expert for Miss Oprah herself, Anastasia is hands-down the brow guru for anyone that is anyone in Hollywood.  Lucky for us, she made an at-home version of her brow shaping stencils.  I would recommend going to one of the Anastasia spas at any Nordstrom store to have an expert wax your brows into the proper shape and explain exactly how to use the stencils. Then you can do your own brow maintenance at home to keep that shape and then use your kit to give yourself the pro treatment at home! Just be aware that once you do, there is no going back, you won’t be able to go a day without using brow stencils!

One Word Of Caution

Just keep in mind that most of the other Anastasia products are not the best in terms of toxicity. In fact, I would avoid most of her other products, specifically the brow powders. I used to actually use her entire brow kit and I loved the brow powder. That is, until I found out that it’s full of talc and parabens, which are on my 10 Toxic Beauty Ingredients To Avoid list. My, how things change once you know how to read product ingredient labels.

The Best Eyebrow Kit

Although I used to be a fan of the entire Anastasia brow kit, my brow kit now consists of a few items that I’ve put together myself, in order to avoid all the nasty ingredients that I’m aware of now. I love using a brow brush to get my eyebrows into place before using the stencil. Honestly, any brand will do, but I use an ancient Chanel one that got years ago when I was working at Neiman’s. I’m still using it almost 12 years later, but I’ve used $3 ones from the drugstore that work just as well.

As far as my brow stencils, I still use my Anastasia brow stencils. But lately, I’ve been absolutely LOVING these MADLUVV stencils that I found recently. They may end up pushing the Anastasia ones out of the picture completely, one day soon. That being said, if you combine some brow stencils with an all natural brow gel like 100% Pure Long Last Brows, you will be slaying your brow game in no time!

The colors are so natural and infinitely better than say, a MAC Cosmetics brow pencil, which is what I used to use before I changed my lifestyle.  Just remember, don’t just buy some brow stencils online and expect miracles to start happening.  It really may require some professional shaping and some explanation on how to use the stencils to get you started. But, at around $30 for a brow wax, it’s an investment that you will admire for years to come!
