You’ve got your skin care routine figured out and you aren’t really looking for any new products. But what about skincare tools? You’ve probably seen all of the rose quartz facial rollers and skincare fridges taking over Instagram lately, and maybe you’ve wondered what else you’ve been missing.
Well, today I’m here to tell you which products you actually need in your life. I’m sharing the best affordable skincare tools and accessories that you might want to consider adding to your otherwise normal routine.
High-Frequency Skin Therapy $39
When I was in aesthetician school, I remember being completely blown away when we learned about microcurrent machines and wondered why I hadn’t heard about these sooner. Luckily, now you don’t even need an aesthetician to get the benefits of high-frequency skin therapy. You can do it all by yourself with this affordable little machine from Amazon!
Banish Acne + Fine Lines
Kill acne-causing bacteria with a spot treatment or smooth fine lines by boosting circulation through gentle microcurrent stimulation of your skin, all in the comfort of your own home!
Skin Icing $10
I can’t shut up about this one, so I may as well start with it first. Skin icing really has changed my life, and you haven’t tried it yet, I would definitely recommend starting ASAP.
I started with a super affordable ice roller from Amazon, and I’ve been using it for a few years now. At some point, I would like to upgrade, but for now, this little $10 ice roller is serving me just fine!
Eye Cream Roller $12
Since I’ve been obsessed with skin icing for a while already, it was only a matter of time before I found another favorite cooling tool, this eye cream rollerball set is a decadent way to spend a few minutes of self-care. Store it in the freezer for a quick depuffing eye treatment in the morning!
Gua Sha $59
This facial massage tool is a GAME CHANGER. I wish I had some before and after pictures to share with you. I really need to get on that, because I swear you can tell an immediate difference from just treating one side of your face and comparing that to the untreated side.
Gua Sha stones are like the supercharged version of a rose quartz facial roller. They get the lymph (and puffiness) moving and naturally soothe facial tension, thereby softening fine lines and signs of aging.
Hyperpigmentation + Fine Lines
This one has two sides with combs for softening stubborn “11” eye lines, breaking up hyperpigmentation and it can even be used on the body to help break up cellulite!
I actually love using mine for neck tension and I’ve even been known to use the larger side of the comb on my head. It’s so relaxing. I’m never going back! You have to try it.
Extra Large Rose Quartz Face + Body Roller $49
When the standard tiny little facial roller just isn’t enough, try this genuine rose quartz roller with a gorgeous rose gold finish.
Gua Sha’s little sister, this deluxe-sized roller is large enough to be used on the body but perfect for use on the face. This roller helps to reduce the appearance of puffiness, helps to relieve facial tension, and helps to increase the absorption of skincare products.
Tip: Store in the Freezer
I love to store mine in the freezer and use it cold to help calm inflammation from irritation, sensitivity, and breakouts. It’s also great for waking up tired eyes in the morning!
The Perfect Headband $6
When you’re a skincare aficionado, you need a good headband to keep your hair out of your favorite face mask and look cute while doing it. This pink and polka dot headband is an adorable way to do just that, plus its terry cloth so it can easily slip into your washing machine in between uses.
Microfiber Cleansing Cloth $19
Another one of my very favorite affordable skincare tools is something that I didn’t even know I needed until about a year ago. Did you know that millions of makeup wipes are thrown away every day? These super-soft microfiber cloths remove makeup with or without using face wash and they’re machine washable!
Eco-Friendly and Gentle
I LOVE to use these for removing masks and they also work well with your favorite cleanser to remove makeup softly and gently, even on the eye area. These little eco-friendly reusable cloths are the perfect addition to your skincare ritual.
Affordable “Designer” Makeup Bag $10
When you love the look of designer makeup bags, but all you can think about are the lipstick smears and messy powder that would inevitably ruin such a big investment, I have the perfect solution for you.
These adorable little bags are surprisingly sturdy and very well-made. They feel luxurious, they look just like the real thing, and best of all, you won’t be upset if the lid slips off your lipstick and gets all over the entire thing.
Konjac Sponges $9
These little babies became super popular a few years ago and then, honestly, I kind of forgot about them. After struggling with some breakouts recently, I had an epiphany, and remembered that I used to love using a Konjac sponge and my skin was always super clear when I did!
These sponges are naturally antibacterial and made from all-natural vegetable fibers. They’ve been using these bamboo sponges in Asia for over 1500 years and they’re perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive.
I recently gifted my friend one of these bamboo charcoal konjac sponges and she can’t stop raving about it. She just bought another one for her friend because she loves it so much!
Well, I hope that you’ve been able to find a few ideas for some affordable upgrades that you can incorporate into your own self-care routine. Even though these are small additions, I truly believe they can make a big difference!
